Andrew jackson mini biography lessons

In this Age of Jackson and Trail of Tears activities and worksheets mini unit, students are introduced to Andrew Jackson and the key issues surrounding his presidency. Included are text stations and a graphic organizer on four key topics: Man of the People, Jackson's Treatment of Native People (Trail of Tears), the Nullification Crisis, and the Bank War.

An essential vocabulary page is also included to put at each station to hit on a variety of content-specific vocabulary terms.

Students learn about the Election of 1824, the Corrupt Bargain, the characteristics that made Jackson a "man of the people." In the second section, students examine Jackson's treatment of native people, the Indian Removal Act, the Trail of Tears, the Supreme Court ruling, and the Treaty of New Echota.
